Tana lives in a world where walled cities called Coldtowns exist. In them, quarantined monsters and humans mingle in a decadently bloody mix of predator and prey. The only problem is, once you pass through Coldtown’s gates, you can never leave.

One morning, after a perfectly ordinary party, Tana wakes up surrounded by corpses. The only other survivors of this massacre are her exasperatingly endearing ex-boyfriend, infected and on the edge, and a mysterious boy burdened with a terrible secret. Shaken and determined, Tana enters a race against the clock to save the three of them the only way she knows how: by going straight to the wicked, opulent heart of Coldtown itself.

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown is a wholly original story of rage and revenge, of guilt and horror, and of love and loathing from bestselling and acclaimed author Holly Black.

Thoughts:

Wow. Woah. Wowoahwow. My gosh, this book was AMAZING. ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING AMAZINGNESS. The only thing is I want more. I love standalone books, but I feel like this should have a sequel too, yah know? plus, more of Gavriel ;D (I think there's gonna be a sequel???)

This book, completely took me away. I didn't expect much from it. Its my first Holly Black book and well, I didn't know what to expect from it. There's those books where from page one, you're totally entranced in the world. The unputadownables. Yup. That's what I did. Read for a few hours straight. Totally worth it.

The world in this book is so...weeeeeeird. Its totally weird. And I LOVE IT. Its action packed and never for a moment, is boring. A world where they watch vampires party...like wut. Its like a vampire reality show where you watch them party. Uh. Okay. But that part is really interesting and once you get the hang of then you'll be pretty mind blown.

This is so frighteningly real. The talk of social media in this book makes it feel like reality. It's so realistic that it feels like you're in that world, too. It's about the same time period as us and so relatable. Except for the vampire part because, well, in my world they don't exist. Or do they o.O

This is highly recommended for um, everyone. For people who like vampires, people who don't, werewolves, or not, pizza, or not (jk how could anyone not like pizza?). Yes. Everyone. EVERYONE READ THIS. yeah, you should read it. *whispers* you really should.

Rating: 5/5 Stars
