The heart-stopping conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, which Ransom Riggs, bestselling author of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, called “a thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love.”

With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn’t know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won’t keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that’s not all he wants with her.

The Shatter Me series is perfect for fans who crave action-packed young adult novels with tantalizing romance like Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and Legend by Marie Lu. Tahereh Mafi has created a captivating and original story that combines the best of dystopian and paranormal, and was praised by Publishers Weekly as “a gripping read from an author who’s not afraid to take risks.” Now this final book brings the series to a shocking and satisfying end.

Synopsis from Goodreads

Review:

ASDFGHJKL warner <3 why are you so perfect and beautiful ;_; please be mine.
okay so I'm finally writing down all my thoughts about this book. It was beautiful, so beautiful I want to cry.

Juilette finally grew up and stopped feeling sorry for herself. She realized that she could have done so many things she never thought to do in the past, because she was so scared. She realized that she could have done so much more, that she could have escaped so much earlier, annnnnnd that she should have eaten her FOOD. LIKE FOOD IS GOOD, YOU SHOULD EAT IT.

BASICALLY SHE GOT HERSELF TOGETHER IN THIS LAST BOOK. #gogirl.
She controlled her powers, her emotions, she discovered herself, and she's helping Warner do the same.

Oh Aaron Warner. You beautiful soul. Everything Warner did in the first book, was not meant to hurt her in anyway. Everyone who hated what Warner did in the first book.... THEY WERE ALL LIES. Juliette discovers that she totally misjudged him. Her having to touch the child was just a stimulation. EVERYTHING BAD WARNER DID, DIDN'T ACTUALLY HAPPEN.

Adam shows his true thoughts too in this book. All those people all for team Adam are now for team Warner. Like seriously. Adam basically calls her a bitch and stupid and then goes "why don't you love me" LIKE ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? ADAM JUST LEAVE OKAY.

I just want to say that I thought Adam was super dodgy in the first book. I was like 'you know, he's alright....but Warner... he seems like a genuinely good person underneath that mask of poise and callousness.'

AND I WAS RIGHHHHHT WOOTWOOT. Turns out Adam is a stupid asshat and that he was in love with the fact that he was helping someone who was so shy and timid. He liked the fact that Juliette needed his help. And now that she's strong and independent, he thinks that Juliette is faking and that she's not being the real her.

YOU KNOW WHAT, ADAM. CHANGE IS GOOD.

I love that Warner encourages her to be stronger, and that everything he did was so help her become her own person. I love that warner pokes fun at "weak Juliette" and that scene when Kenji says

"Back to work. And this time, focus. You're not an Ape. Don't throw your shit everywhere"
 WARNER WAS SUPPRESSING A LAUGH.

Kenji is the source of some comic relief throughout the series, and he is hilarious.  He never fails to make me smile. I love how in this book we see the more serious side to him. When he and Juliette talk out their feelings, I could really see how much they meant to each other. bffls yah know

The scene where Warner finds out he has two brothers. I cried a little. He wanted to take care of James and make amends with Adam, because they're basically the only family he has left. He understands Adam's pain.

"You mean ... you don't hate him (Adam) anymore"
"How can I hate him his anger, when I know so well where it comes from."

*FEELS THE FEELS*

OKAY SO WHEN JULIETTE ADMITTED HER FEELINGS TO WARNER: OMFG it was amazing. HELL YES FINALLY.

All those scenes were so beautiful, and they had a purpose.

Everything was great.  I liked the ending but it felt a tad abrupt.

I still wonder who that sound wave guy is. Juliette says that he looks familiar. Did i miss something? Anyway, Juliette was awesome and totally showed Anderson who was boss. I reeeeaaally want an epilogue. I want to make sure that warner and juliette are happy and that life is good. Maybe a kid or two, yah know?

But to sum it all up, this book was great :'D

YOU NEED TO READ THIS SERIES. IF YOU HAVEN'T GO DO SO RIGHT NOW.

  1. When the sound waves guy appeared, I thought that Anderson must’ve impregnated yet another woman … but then he died, so whatever, right.

    Warner is the best. <3
